Waldo the dog.
Goodbye, Waldo. You'll be in our hearts forever.
Waldo passed away at 14 years, in his sleep, on October 17, 2001
There's so much I want to say, but words can never express my thoughts
about you. Our tears do not begin to express our love for you.You
brought so much joy and love into this house. You are so much a
member of this family, and not having you here leaves an emptyness
that will never be filled. You will live on in our memories.
Waldo is a 14 year old English Collie. His temperment is gentle
and loving, especially with children. He doesn't trust adults until
he gets to know them.
Waldo adopted us when we went to the pound looking for a puppy.
They had no puppies, in fact they only had Waldo. Waldo was about
18 months old then. We fell in love with him the moment we laid
eyes on him. When we got him home, it was like he had been here
all his life, he settled right in. That was 12 and half years ago.
Animal control found Waldo wandering the streets rummaging through
garbage. They think he had been on his own for about 2 or 3 weeks
because he had lost about 30% of his body weight. The people who
had owned him removed his collar and released him to fend for himself.
We figure that they didn't realize that he would get so big (about
65 pounds). Too bad. Their loss, our gain.
